Aran Patterns

Arans were originally outside garments to be worn in all weathers especially by men. Aran weight yarn sits roughly between Dk and chunky. It is a nice weight for showing off fancy stitches and cabling but a wee bit thicker than dk to add extra warmth againstthe elements but it also knits up a bitty faster than your dk too!
