SEPTEMBER 2018
Make a Hat Day / Rowan's 40th Birthday - Tickets released soon!
Saturday 15th September 2018, - 1pm - 3pm instore
Come along to a fantastic knit-in to celebrate 2 fantastic events in one!
Rowan Yarns is celebrating it's 40th Birthday in September and we love making hats, so what better way to celebrate than to combine to two and make a Rowan Beanie from some of their gorgeous selections of yarns!
Attendees will receive a Rowan Goodie bag with all the necessary items to knit a Beanie (contents will vary based on pattern selected) and can attend the 2 hour workshop/knitting session to get started with the project. Experts will be on hand to help start you out and tea/coffee/biscuits will be provided.
Places are limited, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Beginners Patchwork Quilting Class - Tickets available now!

Have you ever wondered where to start with quilting and come up blank? Do you want to learn the basics of Patchwork and what tools are needed to start?
We have a limited number of places available on a beginner level Patchwork Quilting workshop, run by Joan Lawson.
During the workshop, Joan will take you through the basics of creating a small quilted item. The skills covered include:
- What tools will you need?
- Choosing the right colours and tones.
- Cutting pieces to size.
- Machine piecing (BYO machine)
- Basic machine quilting
- Adding binding.
You will be required to provide your own sewing machine for this event. If you would like to have your patchwork item match a particular household item or colour scheme, please bring a sample with you to help you select the right colours.

World Card Making Day - Card Making Workshop - Tickets released soon!
Saturday 6th October 2018, 1pm - 3pm (kids and adults) instore
World Card Making Day is held each year on the first Saturday of every October, and kicks-off the start of the holiday card-making and card-giving season. October to December is considered one of the busiest times of year for many people and the stress of last minute shopping can start to take away from the true message of love, hope and giving.
We have many wonderful products that can be easily used to create beautiful, unique and meaningful cards to be sent out for your loved ones at Christmas or any other time of the year!
Come along to this beginners workshop and learn some basic skills that can be used to create you very own sets of cards. This workshop is child and adult friendly and we have limited places available. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
