Aran weight yarn sits somewhere between Dk and chunky. It is warm enough for most Winters but fine enough to show off stitch detail so if you have a mind or feel creative you can go to town creating cabled confections of loveliness, lacyness or just grab a couple of 400g mega balls and get cracking for a basic jumper.
