Sirdar Cotton Rich Aran
Guernsey or Gansey sweaters have patterning across the upper part of the sweater, often quite complicated and quite pictorial, and overall lighter than the traditional uber cabled Arans that are currently popular.
There are 4 versions of the sweater with different necklines, even a hoodie.
Knitted in Sirdar Cotton Rich Aran, a very comfy cotton rich aran yarn so no moans about itching! These start at approx 4 years and move up to mid size man. Loads of cables to concentrate on too! You can, without any difficulty swap to a more traditional yarn choice if preferred, one suggestion would be Adriafil New Zealand Prints for a bit of fun... or go mad and mix Stella Jacq and Stella Alpina together for crazy!
Sirdar Cotton Rich Aran comes in 100g balls.
Other helpful requirements other than yarn are 5 mm & 4mm knitting pins, stitch holders and cable needles
