Sewing needles and pins - straight and Safety pins
One of the earliest tools used by our ancestors sewing needles, so small but essential kit for making, mending and using for obscure jobs that they weren't really designed for. Pins also fit in here, from boring plain dress making pins to glass headed pins that don't mind hot irons and flower headed pins that will trot happily under the foot of a sewing machine without causing too many swear words and bridal pins as well as safety pins now in various sizes and colours that makes them easier to spot on a carpet,table or just under your nose as well as quilter basting pins for helping to hold all layers together.
