DMC No. 8 Pearl Cotton Thread Balls in 10g and a Great Range of Various ColoursDMC Perle Cotton is a perfect multi user thread ideal for both needlecraft and craft. The silky lustre is inviting as well as the palette for delicate crochet trim or jewellery. Its endurance, both the colour fastness and the robustness of the thread makes it a practical choice for hard working products such as table linen, napkins, coasters, to name a few ideas. Also ideal for embroidery, micro macrame, friendship bracelets, tatting, hardanger and SO MUCH MORE!! During the manufacturing process, the thread is combed, singed by flame and the double mercerised. It is this double mercerising which gives it its beautiful pearlised sheen. The thread is soft, silky, does not fluff or kink. Twists of 2 inseparable stands. Washing care: Easy to wash itself, this can be washed up to 60 degrees and cool ironed. Take into account though the fabric onto which the embroidery thread has been stitched. Preferably use a mild soap at all times. After washing, wrap the embroidery in a towel to remove excess water, then dry flat. Place the embroidery on a clean cloth, preferably while still damp, and iron on the reverse side, at the temperature setting recommended for the fabric. The size numbers in pearl cotton refers to the metres per gram eg n° 3 = 3 metres per gram whilst n° 5 = 5 metres per gram_n° 3 = the thickest thread, whereas n° 12 is the finest size. Comes in 10g balls. Please note, colours may vary!
