An unbelievable variety of fibres, colours, patterns and thicknesses makes the biggest challenge with sock yarn simply deciding to to make next!

There is also more choice for those who are wool sensitive, King Cole introduced Summer 4ply, a blend of Bamboo and Cotton with some stretchy PBT for comfort and movement.

The other beauty about sock knitting is that it is a transportable project easy to take to work or on holiday.

Last but definitely not least sock yarn can be used for other things and not just socks. It is a standard weight yarn and can be used to make awesome gloves, scarves as well as the cosiest socks.
