Essdee Art Print Linoleum is a traditional hessian-backed Lino made specifically for printmaking. Linoleum is the definitive carving material and made using natural ingredients such as linseed oil and wood flour.

SoftCut is manufactured by Essdee to be a great alternative to Lino. It is formulated to be extremely easy to carve, extending the block printing experience to a wider range of potential users including younger and less experienced artists.

SoftCut can be drawn upon directly with a soft pencil due to its creamy white surface. It holds a fine line and gives a consistent, sharp print.

With a little care SoftCut can also be used in a printing press.
