Little Dumpling Dolls I think are such an adorable present to give to children. It can bring back the value of imagination, playing at shops and telling stories. They could also be knitted up as presents for doll collectors or as mascots for certain shop owners but really they should be for kids. With a counter to make as well as stock and tiny display items, and the little cakes... soooooo sweet! These will entertain them for hours in a way that doesn't involve a plug or batteries and a screen. 
And each doll is made up of odds and ends of Dk yarn so you can have fun using up all srap bits that you have, but if you find yourself a bitty short there are the King Cole Dolly Mix balls to look at in a good many colours and lovely to knit with.......

The Dollymix 25g balls are ideal for lots of small amounts of colour without a massive bill. 

After the yarn just add stuffing. Remember to use fresh stuff though....
