Patons 100% Cotton DK yarn is the original and definitive mercerised cotton DK on the market. This yarn has been around since I don't know when and the only thing that has really changed is the colour range. Step up the purples, oranges, yellows and red and the many shades of brown and grey have been somewhat reduced... hooray! After all nothing entices the crafter more than a mouth watering array of colour. There still remains an excellent selection of pastels which work alone or with their stronger friends. But whatever your colour choice there is something for all tastes and ages in this range. Patons 100% Cotton is one of the original mercerised pure cottons and the quality is just as wonderful as ever it was. A favourite choice for crochet that gives a neat well defined stitch. The colour range has an astounding range of neutrals, pastels and bright jewel like shades as well which all work beautifully together.

The tension is traditional cotton DK which with little give provides a slightly tighter tension than you get from other fibres. Because 100% Cotton DD has been on the market so long there is alot of pattern support available but you can use other dk patterns just remember to make allowances though
