Knitters Marking Pins are more useful than you may think. Made from steel they are approx 4.5cm long with a good coloured flat plastic end for grip. Therefor 5 colours with two of each for pairing and lining up of pieces, also to make it easy to spot in the work.
Primarily designed for marking places on your work where you may want to place pockets or applique work, for clearer marking of armholes for positioning, they are also handy for marking out for a tension count, for holding large pieces together while you sew up and for countless other tasks that their length and sharp, pointy tip allows for.
