Winsor & Newton Safflower Oil slows the drying time of oil paints whilst increasing the gloss and transparency of colours and improving the flow.

This medium resists yellowing due to it's paler colour.

Some Oil colours such as the whites and other pale colours, contain Safflower Oil instead of or in addition to Linseed Oil.

As it is paler in colour, the paler pigments will maintain their brightness.

Safflower Oil is slow drying and should not be used under faster drying layers.

Available in 75ml bottle
