This professional clay is great for artists, designers, artisans and hobbyists alike and is also suitable for novice clay modellers and is perfect to use in schools and for kids as this clay is soft, easy to use and rewarding for projects and crafts. And because of its unique blend, the final sculptures and models will have a wooden effect once dried!
This clay can be modelled in bas-relief, in the round, with sheet and rope, alone or with other materials, such as wood, glass, and cardboard. It is also ideal for upcycling and be used for restoration work.
This clay is also self-hardening in the air however, it dries slowly, allowing the build-up of resistant and long-lasting wooden clay sculptures, which can be sculpted during the drying process and, inlaid and decorated very easily with tools like gouges, spatulas and scalpels, thanks to the long drying time and once completely dried, it can even be inlaid with milling cutters and decorated with paints and finished with varnishes.
Depending on the size of the model, it can take from 24 hours to 1 week for the clay to dry.
The DAS wood is solvent-free, dermatologically tested, gluten-free and water-based and is CE Certified for children 3+ to play with and use and is also ACMI certified with AP Seal.
