Beeswax is one of those everyday items you come across regularly and people don't realise how many helpful and amazing uses it actually has!

• To start off, it's actually often used to make with! So if you want to create some lovely, honey-scented, natural candles, beeswax is a grey choice! 
• Beeswax is also used as a polish! It's commonly used to wax and shine up wood nicely.
• It's also great to use on both sewing and beading thread! Pulling some thread through a blob of beeswax can help smoothen the thread and make sewing or stringing fiddly items that much easier!
• Since it's also a wax, it can be also used to waterproof things too! 
• And, when mixed with paraffin wax, it can be used for batiking! An ancient technique that requires dyeing your fabric, drawing a design on the fabric with melted wax, and then re-dyeing the fabric once the wax is set and hardened and proceeding to rub the wax off leaving a fantastic batiked design!
• And lastly, it can be used for candle making!

Hot wax can ignite in the same way as boiling fat! Should you accidentally ignite your wax DO NOT attempt to extinguish it with water! Place the lid back on the pot or cover it with a damp cloth or towel to stifle and help extinguish the flames!
