Fair-Isle style Tank Top

Fair-isle style is timeless and as my grandad would testify very hard wearing, his top knitted by his very loving wife lasted 60 years! Intarsia is a bit of a loves labour but it is very satisfying when complete and it will keep you knitting for a long while so you get good value for money. Thet are also incredibly warm. The extra strands of yarn add an extra layer to the top so perhaps the heating could get turned down a bit!
Knitted in the equally timeless Country Style Dk, a wool rich yarn that washes well, wears fine and is reasonably priced. You swap for Patons Diploma Gold Dk, though if you are in search for a bit more wool content or Wendy Merino Dk for 100% wool, or spash out and use Debbie Bliss Rialto Dk.
I would recommend you buy or make little yarn bobbins to help minimise tangle. It does create extra ends but it saves one giant knot and a few choice swear words.......
Just add 4mm and 3.25 mm needles and some buttons and you have something new to cosy into!
