Mitts, Hat and Bag Aran Knitting Pattern | Twilleys 9211

People have asked endlessly for patterns for aran hats, bags and mitts well here it is.  The hat and the mitts are a good way of finishing off aran after creating a multi-cable sweater. The handbag requires 6 of the 50g balls so it is a force to be reckoned with but this bag makes a beautiful present and as far as bags go still works out cheaper than buying one. It is also a natty way of getting to grips on cabling especially if you are a little daunted. 

Knitted in the incredible Twilleys Alfresco Aran but you could buy a couple of big balls and knit the lot!
These all come in one size - average lady , whatever that is, but you can make adjustments quite easily if needed. 

All these items are knitted on two needles.  Hat and mitts require 3.75, 4 and 4.5mm needles for the hat and scarf and the bag needs 4mm and and cable needle as well as some buttons.
