Patons Toy Pattern Knitting Book

A collection of timeless toys, all the old favourites including teddies, ducks, birds, bunnies and ponies. This is an old book still in print. It uses Patons Knit n Save DK now Patons Fab but King Cole Dolly Mix is a good substitute. Most of these patterns use small amounts of yarn less than 30g but the bigger toys such as the horse take 145g or less. The bigger toys are simply scale ups of smaller ones being knitted on bigger needles or crochet hooks.

Rule of thumb.... small toys 3.25mm / UK10, crochet 3mm / UK 10

                               large toys 4.5mm / UK 7, crochet 4.5mm / UK 7

and for large animals the yarn has to be used double thickness to give the stiffness to take the filling
