Flannel, with its soft fuzzy surface is so under-used in the UK. Considered more stroppy to handle than traditional cotton the benefits far outweigh the idiosyncrasies that go with this fabric.
Soft and snuggly, just the ticket for a cold Winters night and for a baby or little child there is nothing nicer!
The Farmhouse Flannels are a collection of neutral shades, browns, greys and creams with classic understated designs of checks, stripes, houndtooth and dots which works with most decor choices.
Perfect for creating gender neutral bedding, throws or cushions and the colourway creates a sense of calm and earthiness.
The flannels work beautifully with needle felting for appliques and backgrounds too!
Best advice:- pre-shrink meterage, and starch pre-cuts prior to use..... spray starch is very handy for this!
We offer our fabrics in Fat Quarter Units. The minimum cut quantity is 1 Fat Quarter. So if one unit is purchased we will send 1 Fat Quarter
If you are purchasing more than 1 Fat Quarter (more than 1 unit) then you need to increase the number of units to suit how much fabric you need. For example 4 units will be 1 metre of fabric, which we will send as 1 piece of uncut fabric, unless otherwise requested in the order. List of units to width is:
2 units - ½ metre x the width of the bolt
4 units - 1 metre x the width of the bolt
6 units - 1 ½ metres x the width of the bolt
and so on
If purchasing an odd number of Fat Quarters (units) such as 3, 5 or 7 units etc. then we will be send the fabric as 1 piece plus 1 Fat Quarter (unless otherwise requested) eg:
3 units - 0.50m + 1 fat quarter
5 units - 1.00m + 1 fat quarter
7 units - 1.50m + 1 fat quarter
and so on
Fat Quarters – approximately 50cm x 56cm / 20” x 22”
Fat Quarters are a 50cm length which is (times the width of the bolt) which is split in halfway along the width to give 56cm/22”
Some fabrics may have slightly different dimension due to the width of different bolts of fabrics.
