The Importance of Mistakes
It’s easy to feel discouraged when we’re not immediately great at a craft but mistakes are all part of learning. Earlier this week I was joining the shoulder seams of a baby cardigan I’ve been knitting and ended up with the seam on the outside rather than inside and at first I wanted to give up. I didn’t know what I’d done and thought that I’d completely ruined it, but after taking a step back (and doing some googling) I realised where I’d went wrong and worked out how to fix it. These things are all part of learning how to improve your skills so remember that your mistakes are not a bad thing but an opportunity for growth.
Happy imperfect crafting and stay tuned for the finished cardigan.
